Welcome Zack!

We got a call early in the morning that Kristin and Taylor were already at the hospital and Zack was on his way. Taylor brought Julia over for the day (she prefers being a Crockett anyway) and that evening we all got to go to the hospital to meet Zack! All my boys love babies so everyone needed their own turn to hold him. So sweet!

New Glasses!

Tyler and Ryan each got new glasses!  I think they both look pretty darn cute!

Time Out For MOM!

I needed some girl time (go figure!) so I went with Megan, Jeannette, Becky, and some of their friends to Time Out for Women. We listened to several speakers and a singer Friday night, spent the night in a hotel then went back for more most of Saturday. It was a very encouraging, uplifting, spiritual, and fun weekend. I love these ladies! We will be back!

Tyler Ordained a Deacon!

Because of Conference, Tyler had to wait an extra week before being ordained a Deacon. We invited all our family and close friends. Turns out that's ALOT of people (39 people all together)! Normally the ordination takes place in the Deacon's classroom during Young Men's, but our group was so large, they asked the High Priests to trade us rooms so we could meet in the front of the chapel. The bishop asked me to bear my testimony briefly after it was done, which I had a feeling would happen. It was important to me to have Tyler see all the support he had and feel the importance of that day and to remember it always! After church we invited everyone over for lunch. Later, we met up with the Standages for a Crockett/Standage reunion, since their family was also in town for a baptism. It was fun catching up with each other! It was a wonderful day!!

Tyler is TWELVE!?!

My oldest is twelve today! How can that be? He will be starting Young Men's and recieving the priesthood! I will have 2 priesthood holders in my home!! I'm excited for him, but sad for me. I am so proud of him! I am so honored Heavenly Father trusted me with such an incredible spirit and person! He knew how much we needed him. He was such an easy, happy baby. He was so polite, some of his first words were please and thank you, before we ever tried teaching him. He would share all his toys, and loved to clean up. We thought we were excellent parents, but really it was just who Tyler was from the beginning.

Tyler is so responsible, sometimes I take it for granted. He is the BEST big brother. He loves his brothers, and worries about them and helps them. He is kind and caring and smart and funny. I don't know what I would have done with out him all these years. I love the conversations we are starting to be able to have together. He's becoming an adult and I'm excited to see the person he becomes, but sad to let go of my little boy. He will be able to DRIVE in FOUR years! Only SEVEN years until his mission! I hope I am teaching him what he needs to know!

Wii Birthday Party
He chose to have a Wii Birthday Party and invited some friends over for pizza and snacks and video games. They all seemed to have fun together! Tyler recieved a tent and sleeping bag for all the scout campouts he'll be going on. He also recieved a ton of cash and gift cards! Clayton's parents were planning to spend the weekend out of town with family, but he really didn't want to miss Tyler's party, so he stayed with us for the weekend. Taylor also slept over Friday night. The boys thought it would be fun to set up Tyler's new tent in the family room to sleep in.

Conference Weekend - Priesthood session Tyler/Clayton
Tyler's birthday this year was on the Friday before conference, which meant he would go with Kenny to his first official Priesthood Session of conference. Since Clayton was sleeping over, he chose to go with them too, rather than staying with Me and the younger boys. After conference, the boys all went to Nando's for dinner. I think they felt big hanging out with all the Men of the family!
