Ryan's 100

The kids had their 100th day of school this week and I found this paper in Ryan's folder he brought home from school. The spelling and answers cracked me up and I had to share! Classic Ryan!

Answer the questions below.
IF I HAD A HUNDRED...
1. If I had 100 dollars, I would... by a manchin. (buy a mansion)
2. If I had 100 pencils, I would... breng them t class. (bring them to class)
3. If I had 100 mosquito bites, I would... Stae in bed. (stay in bed)
4. If I had 100 friends, I would... Plae with them. (play with them)
5. If I had 100 legs, I would... sta in bed. (stay in bed)
6. If I had 100 eyes, I would... spie on pypl. (spy on people)
7. If I had 100 __spie gir__, I would... spi on pypl. (spy gear, spy on people)
8. If I had 100 __bruthrs__, I would... jumq with them. (brothers, jump with them)
9. If I had 100 __toy guns__, I would... play with then. (toy guns, play with them)
10. If I had 100 __Lunchis__, I would... yt them. (lunches, eat them)

So apparently, Mansions are much cheaper than I realized; Ryan's class needs more pencils; it's not even worth getting out of bed if you have mosquito bites or too many legs to walk; Ryan can never have too many friends or toy guns to play with; He wants to spy on people (note to self); 4 boys isn't anywhere close to enough for Ryan, and I assume he means jumping on the trampoline, but if he had 100 brothers, I would jump off a cliff; and I need to send more food in Ryan's lunches.

Point Taken!

Mckay's Big Boy Bed

Mckay has finally moved up to a big boy bed! He has been in a toddler bed for the past year, mostly because we weren't sure how to fit a twin bed and a crib and dressers for 2 boys, not mention toys etc, in Mckay and Brayden's room. But we decided to get him a captain's bed so his drawers could be kept under his bed. He is so excited to have a big bed, maybe now he won't come in our bed at night!

Pinewood Derby and Uncle Mike

Last weekend Kenny's Uncle Mike came into town from Florida. Kenny's Aunt Emmy died of cancer a couple summers ago, but we love her husband Uncle Mike and don't get to see him often, so we were so excited to spend some time with him.

Friday all the adults went to Garcia's for dinner, which was a hoot for several hours (I'm sure the other tables around us weren't as thrilled, but we had a great time!). But we were so busy having fun, nobody got any pictures!

Saturday just happened to be Tyler's Pinewood Derby, so the whole family came! Our stake had it set up for each ward throughout the day.

They had cardboard cutouts for pictures, made "pit passes" for each of the boys with their pictures on them and had music and sound effects during the races.

Tyler had a huge cheering section, for the one race he won! (We're those parents that actually let him build his own car, which I thought was the point of the whole thing, so it's more creative, then speedy!)

But, he still had a lot of fun, especially when he won the Flat Tire Award cake for last place.

Afterward, we raced Ryan's car with Makenna's car, neither of them even made it to the finish line!

After the races, we wanted to go out to brunch, but we couldn't find anywhere that would seat a party of 20 within an hour, so we picked up KFC and and drinks and went to Skylkine Park and let the kids run and play.

Later we all played card games and ate ice cream.
It was a great time!!

Cute Brayden Pics

This is for my sister-in-law, Monica, who can never get enough pictures of Brayden!

Mckay thought Brayden needed to wear his Bob the Builder hat, while watching it together on tv, making him Brayden the Builder!

Apparently he really does like it! He is such a happy kid, and he loves his big brothers, and snuggling with daddy.
Notice the giant wet spot on his shirt! This kid drools more than anyone I've ever seen! Everybody says he must be teething, but only if he's been teething since he was 2 months old! He just drools a LOT! So I try to keep a bib on him 'cause it's better than changing his soaking wet shirt all the time.

This one is especially suited since we are soon to loose our daddy as I become a "tax season widow" yet again. Come on April 15th (which also happens to be Kenny's birthday)!

Wednesday, January 2

Our Christmas Vacation!

One great perk to Kenny's new job is that he is on salary now, so when the office closed from December 22 to January 2, he got a great week and a half vacation, PAID! Since many of us were coming down with colds, we spent plenty of time resting and hanging out together at home. The boys were out of school for Christmas break too, so we also wanted to do some fun things as a family.

We went bowling with my brother Dave and his family, and had a blast!

Kenny took the older boys to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, which they loved (and I'm glad I stayed home with the little boys).

We also hung out with family and played games! We got addicted to a new card game called Ligretto thanks to my sister Kristin and her hubby Taylor. We tried to buy a game after they left town, but apparently it is from Europe (Germany/Switzerland) so it's hard to find and kinda expensive for a card game ($25 on eBay!). BUT, it is the same as another game called Dutch Blitz played in Pennsylvania, so we might buy it instead so we can get all our friends hooked too!

Christmas 2007

We had a great Christmas in the Crockett house! Every year I buy too much stuff that we really don't need and the boys are overwhelmed. This year our budget was more limited, so we only bought a few things the boys had really asked for. It was perfect! This was actually the first year we didn't have to wake up the boys! We're always afraid their going to wake up and start opening things before we are all up, so we usually wake up before them to get the camera ready etc. This year we heard Tyler get up and wake up his brothers, but we were able to make them wait until Dad had the camera ready!

Before
After

Brayden loves his Bumbo! He's such a happy kid, he smiles every time you look at him. He also loved tearing up the tissue paper Mckay put next to him.

Mckay kept saying he wanted Santa to bring him Cars, as in Lightning McQueen, so he was thrilled with a whole bunch of them. He also got a Dinoco Helicopter with Mater inside that has not left his side, literally, he sleeps with it!

Ryan had a Star Wars Christmas. Almost everything he got was Star Wars. He is the hardest to shop for because he always asks for the same things Tyler asks for and he plays with Tyler's toys. He really looks up to his big brother!

Tyler had asked Santa for this and every time you asked him what he wanted, this is what he said. He still seems to believe in Santa, but every year we keep thinking this will be the last year. It's hard to see him get so big!

Santa brought the boys a Basketball hoop. Hopefully it will give them another thing to do outside and will wear them out a little more!

Christmas Eve

Like a lot of people, we have the tradition of giving our kids new PJ's for Christmas Eve. Now that they know it's coming, they have a hard time waiting through the mini FHE Luke 2 Christmas Story, but at least we try!

Family Pictures

My sister-in-law, Felicia, takes great photos and has a nice camera, and since we both had new baby's this year, we decided to try to take each other's family pics. Between the two families, we had 6 cold, wiggly, bored little boys (and 2 big ones) not really in the mood to cooperate. Not to mention my brother standing behind the camera doing goofy things to make the kids laugh. Oh well. Felicia is going to try to photo shop some of them together to get me a decent family picture. Thanks Felicia!
